Hello from Siem Reap! I arrived two days ago after my long-ish flight from LA and have jumped right into life here at Pepy! As interns are employed on a rolling calendar, another intern left yesterday to return to her home country of Colombia, so my first day was full of goodbye/welcome staff gatherings. Its been quite a whirlwind since arriving but I’m enjoying every bit of it.

That is every bit but the jet-lag. The 14 hour gap differential has not been so kind. I awoke this morning at 330 am, and when dusk arrived at 530 and I was still not able to re-enter dreamland, I decided to go for a bike ride. I caught some great photos of morning in Siem Reap

Tonight I am going to dinner with some of the expats of the community. We (pepy) make up a small portion of the expats, as there are a great deal of other philanthropic pursuits here in Siem Reap, including documentary filmmakers from the US and doctors from Europe in their residencies.

I plan on visiting Angkor Wat this weekend, so check back soon!
